Welcome 2012!

This is the second year that we have joined our friends the Isaacs at their cabin in Shaver Lake. The Lees were there again this year as well. We had such a great time. Six adults, seven kids, lots of laughs (and a few fights, let's be honest), and more food than any of us needed. Love this new tradition!

Micah's new race track kept the boys busy for much of the weekend.

Seriously? How cute is this kid!

Getting so big.  Also fun to use leading lines.

Artsy picture by Aaron

We went on a walk and the snow equipment was out and unlocked.  Seemed like a fun opportunity.

Pretty little Lucy

Last year there was so much snow that we got snowed in and the guys had to shovel us out.  This year we barely needed sweatshirts.  There was this one patch of ice near the snow equipment and our kids were so thrilled to play in it!  Poor California babes.

Love this picture of Grace!

Handsome devil, er, penguin

Teamwork!

The big boys (sorry Gabriel)...
and the big girls (sorry Lucy).

Putting some mistletoe she found to good use with Dad

Super awesome picture that Aaron took of Grace having fun with glow sticks on the patio.

This is the boys' favorite tradition - the beer taste test.  This year was a blind test.  The beers on lined up by ranking here, best on the left to worst on the right, in case you are looking for some new onew to try, or avoid.

Happy New Year!

Well, we really miss the couple of years when the kids spent New Year's Eve night with us. But this looks like a wonderful new tradition. The kids are all so cute. And that picture of Gabriel is too adorable.

Grandma
P.S. LOVE your blog's new look!

Nice pics! But you're missing one of all the moms eating fritters! :)

You girls are so right. What a shame. Guess we'll have to do it again next year :)
