Darth Vader, Chewbacca, and a sunflower

Audrey was Princess Leah

The whole fam - Aaron was a riotous Canuck fan (a shout out to our friend James, really), I was pregnant. You would be surprised how many people actually thought I was pregnant. Even while looking at my newborn, they would ask when this one was due. And people, the pillow under my shirt was extremely lumpy. But the funnier thing was the people who know me well, who have even held my baby, who walked by me a few times before realizing that I don't actually look like that anymore!

Fun games at the church carnival

Gypsy Grammy helped man one of the booths - isn't she cute?

Aaron was in charge of Levi's costume and let me tell you, it was quite a step up from what I would have done. He used Dots candies, Legos, zip ties, and duct tape to create this masterpiece. Levi's chest piece concealed an iPod, set to loop alternately the sound of Darth Vader breathing with the Imperial March, Darth Vader's infamous song. It was awesome. And Granddad and Grammy supplied the essential light-up light saber (or light
saver, as some Darth Vaders call it), since Mommy was too cheap to spring for that.

I made Chewy's costume out of faux fur and felt.

Even Darth has a soft spot for the Wookie.

After the carnival, we went trick-or-treating in the neighborhood with some friends. The kids got more candy than they could possibly eat, though they certainly tried. Call me horrible, but they got to eat all they wanted last night, keep 4 pieces for today, and then everything else got thrown away. And I don't feel even the least bit bad about it. Happy Halloween!
